Helen M. Janes, 74, of Port Clinton, OH passed away Tuesday, June 01, 2010 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton, OH. She was born on October 10, 1935 in Port Clinton, OH, the daughter of Verrie and Doris Edna (Elliott) Bovia. Helen worked as a sales clerk for Green’s pharmacy, Port Clinton, OH. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Port Clinton, OH. Helen will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
Survivors include: Sister: Elsie (Richard) Ward of Port Clinton, OH; Daughter: Sue Cohen of Madison, WI; Sons: Don Janes of Port Clinton, OH, Joe Janes of Chicago, IL and Bob Janes of Marblehead, OH; Grandchildren: Adam Janes of Port Clinton, OH, Jason Mendoza of Arizona, Ashley Gooding of Oak Harbor, OH, Jared Janes of Clyde, OH and Jennifer Janes of Germany. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and sisters: Anna, Martha and Edna.
Visitation will be 2-8PM, Thursday, June 03, 2010 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Michael Wiechers at 10:00AM, Friday, June 04, 2010 in the funeral home. Burial will be in LaCarpe Cemetery, Lacarne, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Helen may be given to St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Due to city construction, please use the Second Street parking lot entrance for both parking lots.
