Gail Ederer passed from this life on August 22, 2020, at the age of 76. A loving mother and grandmother, she died peacefully at home and surrounded by family. Born in Boston to Kenneth and Betty Ingram, Gail and family relocated to Oklahoma, her father's home state, after WW2. Gail graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa and attended The University of Tulsa. She was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. Gail married Hal Owensby in 1965, and they had two daughters, Ayn and Susan. Gail started her working life as a medical transcriptionist at Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital. She excelled at people skills and management and was named the first Public Relations Director at the hospital. She left the hospital in 1982 and dedicated herself from then on to non-profit environmental work in Oklahoma and surrounding states, working for the Beverage Industry Recycling Program and the Glass Packaging Institute. She was most recently the Executive Director for Keep Oklahoma Beautiful where she spearheaded state-wide education and cleanup programs. She also held several board and advisory positions around Oklahoma - all relating to various environmental concerns. Upon retirement from KOB in 2013, Gail returned to Tulsa from Edmond, where she enjoyed her remaining years with family. Gail is predeceased by her parents and brother, R. Carl Ingram, MD. She is survived by daughters Ayn Grubb and Susan Collins, one son-in-law Sean Grubb, and one grandchild Parker Grubb, who all reside in Tulsa. Gail's cremation was witnessed by her daughters August 28th. A Celebration of Life will be held September 26th, from 2-4 pm at a Tulsa venue to be determined. RSVP to Ayn Grubb at aynimo@cox.net
